Good evening boo's and ghouls!
So, tonight is Halloween! How are you celebrating? Did you go out trick-or-treating with the kids? Did you spend your evening watching scary movies? Have you successfully gorged yourself with all your Halloween candy? Whatever you did, I hope you had a safe and fun Halloween! Tonight has been a lay-low night for me. I've completed one of my last Kaplan GRE prep courses, eaten too many Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, and watched Ghost Hunters "Halloween LIVE" on the Syfy channel for the last 3 hours. It's been a nice break from the craziness that has been my life recently - between volunteering at the battered women's shelter, studying for my GRE's and taking random trips to Las Vegas, my life has become one big roller coaster ride!
In a few short days I'll be jetting off (once again) to Colorado Springs! I'm excited because I'll be seeing Erica and Sara, spending time in the apartment, and enjoying the colder weather... They have snow there already! So, we will be spending out days playing in the snow, eating too much food, and vegging out on the couch. We will have an amazing time and, if all goes well, it will be a wonderful preparatory trip for my return to Colorado in January. (I just have to remember to bring home my winter clothes since I left all my warm stuff in Colorado...)
Mostly, I'm just excited for another new month. On November 2nd, we will be officially 2 months into our deployment and, I think, time is going to start flying by. This month I'm headed to Colorado, finishing up my GRE prep class, taking the GRE's (hopefully), celebrating Thanksgiving in Santa Barbara, then by that time it will almost be December! Do you see what I mean about time starting to go really fast?
I. Am. So. Excited.
Well, I'm off for the night! It's time for this lady to get into bed and wait for her promised phone call... Maybe I'll even get a Skype date tonight? We shall see! Fare thee well, faithful followers. I bid you adieu and wish you a Happy Halloween!
