Well, it's that time of month again...
(Gross, that's NOT what I was talking about.)
IT'S MOVING TIME.
The past week I've been working frantically - packing a whole apartment on your own is a daunting task, I tell you! So far, everything's gone relatively smoothly! I've been able to pack almost all of Derek's stuff into two large suitcases (boys are so lucky), but my stuff has been a little more of a challenge... Derek has asked me multiple times to minimize my wardrobe and I've continually had to explain to him: Yes, I need all those shoes. No, I will not get rid of any. And yes, I absolutely need all my clothes. Am I sure? Yes, I'm completely sure.
A girl is always sure about her clothes.
Oh, men, what are we going to do with them?
Also, look at that bruise! I still have no idea where it came from... |
The back room, the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and both bathrooms have been dismantled and are currently in a state of "organized chaos" (in other words, a complete disaster). But I've successfully gotten the cable/internet appointments set up, the moving company scheduled, and more boxes being sent my way. It's a never-ending process, this moving business.
Good thing I've got great friends who know how to help a girl relax!

Great neighbors = great friends! |
In other news:
Today I went on a 3 mile run. It felt like a hurricane outside because the wind was blowing at 45mph (with a wind chill of about 15 degrees), which made 39 degrees feel much, much colder than it actually was. By the end of the run my quads hurt, my knees hurt, my calves hurt, my butt hurt, my lungs hurt, and it felt so good.
